Located in the provinces of Tyrol and Salzburg, the Kitzbuhel Alps of Austria are a wonderful mountain range. There is a great deal a visitor to this magnificent collection of peaks can do, all year round. Whether you are interested in climbing and hiking or enjoying a via ferrata, this is a great place enjoy it. However, for the purpose of this trip, we would like to guide you for a full day of thrilling freeride skiing.

The slopes within the Kitzbuhel Alps are fantastic. They are full of great descents. And because there is an extensive variety of different peaks and areas to choose from, no matter what your skiing level is, there will be no problem finding the perfect spot for you.

Anybody who has ever been lucky enough to freeride ski in any part of the Alps knows how fun and memorable it can be. They also know how absolutely stunning the views can be as well. And when it comes to the Kitzbuhel Alps, you will not be disappointed. There are a number of spectacular peaks in this roughly 80 kilometre long mountain range. And during this trip, you may even have the chance to ski on one of them. A few examples of those peaks include the Wildseeloder (2,118m), the Kitzbuhler Horn (1,996m), the Gratlspitz (1,899m), and the highest mountain in the range, Krezjoch (2,558m).

With such a wide assortment of great peaks, along with fabulous powder from which you can ski, you will have great time on this trip. I'm a passionate Rock & Ice climber, Alpinist and Backcountry skier for more than 10 years... My climbing trips took to many regions of the Alps, North&South America, Norway and to the Karakoram/Pakistan.

I live near Kitzbühel, a small village in Tyrol/Austria, among other things known for the world-famous downhill-ski-race and the beautiful mountains.

Since 2017, I have made my hobby into a profession and work as a mountain guide - I love guiding my guests on classic mountaineering routes, on beautiful rock climbs, on skis through the wintery mountains and on steep ice routes, especially in my beautiful home mountains.

In summer, we have the famous mountain range of the "WILDER KAISER" with many climbs in all levels of difficulty almost on the doorstep, also the snow-covered 3.000m-peaks of the "HOHE TAUERN" such as "Grossglockner" (highest peak of Austria) and the "Grossvenediger" are not far away...

In winter, the "KITZBÜHELER ALPEN" around the village of Kitzbühel offer great freeriding & skitouring in a magic winter-landscape, as well as countless possibilities for ice climbing.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
