Rising 4,000 feet (1,219 meters) above the beautiful turquoise Lake Louise, lying in the Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies, are the exhilarating mountains perfect for climbing.
Guarding the glacier-fed Lake Louise on all sides are the snow-capped mountains, including Mount Temple (3,543m; 11,624ft), Mount Whyte (2,983ft; 9,787ft), and Mount Niblock (2,976m; 9,764ft). This makes Lake Louise home to numerous climbing routes.
We can customize your climb according to your level of ability and my expertise of the area to find you the ideal area for climbing, maximizing security and adventure. If you’re not sure of the climbs, I am here to suggest some options that would be perfect for you.
Named after Princess Louise Caroline Alberta (1848-1939), the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria, Lake Louise is a sleepy hamlet of 1,000 people. Yet with its stunning setting becomes a popular place for mountaineers.
We will climb above the crowds that move around the town and soon isolate ourselves as we ascend the mountains.
Because the half-day climb is built around you, you don’t need to have much previous experience to enjoy Lake Louise. However, due to the climbing, you are expected to have a good level of fitness.
Reserve your place now among the tranquil Lake Louise and ascend its gorgeous mountains that guard the waters. And customise your climb to fit your level of skill and experience.
I am an ACMG Rock Guide, I started guiding because I am very passionate about teaching people the technical side of climbing as well as the emotional achievements that come with challenging yourself and connecting with nature.
I have been climbing since I was a kid with my teddy bear clipped to my harness, and since then I have dedicated years to travelling, rock climbing, mountaineering, and improving my technical skills.
I have climbed El Capitan in Yosemite Valley 4 times, sent 5.12 in 5 different countries, and love combining the techniques from rock types around the world. I am also an Industrial Rope Access Technician and enjoy geeking out on the physics of rope systems.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
