Description

I invite you to join me on a 2-day lead climbing course in the Bow Valley, around Banff and Canmore, in Alberta.

This valley is southern Alberta's main climbing area. It has many long multi-pitch traditional climbing routes on most of the high walls surrounding the valley.

This is a perfect course for the first time outside lead climber. Also, it is ideal as an early season refresher. During these 2 days, we will review and introduce the skills you need if you are looking to lead climb at the crags. Also, I will explain belaying techniques and leading techniques. Besides, I will go over how to set up top rope anchors and how to clean them in a safe way. We will also review rappelling and proper communication, and, most important, we will do some climbing!

By the end of these 2 days, you will have the skills you need to start leading a climb.

So contact me if you want to join me on this great lead climbing course! We will spend an amazing time learning and climbing in the beautiful Bow Valley in the Alberta province.

I also offer a 4-day course in the same area. Or you can also check out this 4-day climbing program in the Bugaboos.
