Hiking with a guide around Matterhorn

The Matterhorn hiking circuit is one of the most beautiful treks in the Alps. Go there with Pascale, UIMLA mountain leader from Valais.

Not specified

7 Days

Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct

The beauty of Matterhorn is beyond comprehension. Discover always different sceneries, with dazzling, magic colours. Bathe in the history of the beginnings of mountaineering. Meet souls that will make you vibrate with emotion. Return home and say: I did it!

The Matterhorn circuit is one of my favourite hikes for the following reasons:

  • We walk from pass to pass

  • There is magic over the glaciers

  • Mama’s cuisine

  • The happiness when we discover the mythical pyramid

  • Meeting chamois and ibex.

You’ll find a detailed itinerary for this 7-day program below this description. We can hike around Matterhorn between June and October.

This hike is sustained, you need to be in good physical shape.

Are you interested in this beautiful hike around Matterhorn? Then please contact me! I would love taking you there. And please note that the trip can be adapted to your wishes.

About the guide

I'm a UIMLA mountain leader, a rescuer and a journalist. Since 18 years, the mountain is my office and my full-time job. My passion is about to transmit the small and big secrets of nature but also to allow everyone to find his right balance in an environment which might appear as hostile but which is actually a large reservoir of unsuspected individual energy. Here in the mountain, the masks fall down and that's the good point of it !

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.

Hello! I have been thoroughly impressed by the service and assistance that explore-share have provided the past couple years in helping to plan my trip to the High Tatras in Poland. I really appreciated the flexibility that they provided in allowing me to rearrange my trip twice owing to covid. They were responsive and communicative throughout. This trip was part of my Stag weekend celebrations and explore-share connected me with an outstanding guide in the form of Marcel - he was an excellent recommendation and we really enjoyed our guided hike in the High Tatras with him. Marcel was an outstanding professional, placed a high focus on preparing well and staying safe, and was also a great guy! Highly recommend. Many thanks and best wishes - Richard

We travel widely and this has by far been the best of experiences. Well done to all concerned. We are already looking at booking another trip!
