Description
The Appalachian Trail is one of the most famous trails in the United States. And, on this full day trip, we would like to guide you to one of the most beautiful parts of that trail: Max Patch.
Located on the border between the states of North Carolina and Tennessee, near Asheville, the summit of Max Patch is approximately 4,600 feet high. Hence making it a fantastic place for visitors to enjoy incredible views. Some amazing things you will get to see from the summit include Mount Guyot, Mount Sterling and Big Cataloochee to the southwest. Meanwhile, to the southeast, you will get to see The Plott and the Great Balsam Range. To the north you will get to admire the Roans. And, to the east, you will get to see the Black Mountains. Finally, the sunsets from the summit are unbelievable, particularly when gazing toward Tennessee.
A truly amazing summit, the pastoral Max Patch will definitely take your breath away. And, if you are a photographer, this trip will be a fantastic opportunity to get some magnificent natural shots.
The journey to the summit is not very long. In fact, on one of the more popular trails, you will only have to trek for about a half mile to get to the summit, and another half mile to get back. There is also a 2.4 mile loop option you can enjoy as well.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide.
