First, we will visit the mayan site of Coba, nestled in the dazzling jungles of Mexico. Thereon, we will climb this majestic structure, which is the largest pyramid in the northeast of Yucatan. So, from the top, we’ll get hypnotizing views of the area.
Then, after this archaeological adventure, we will head to an impressive cenote to swim in its refreshing waters. Cenotes are natural pits, that formed as a result of the collapse of limestone bedrock which has exposed the groundwater running underneath. On top of enjoying their breathtaking beauty, you’ll learn about their history, which is related to ancient Maya offerings.
After such exciting activities, we’ll take a well deserved break and meet the welcoming Cahum family, with whom we will have lunch. As we try exquisite local delicacies with them, they’ll share stories of their past and present with us.
Later, with our bellies and hearts replenished, we will head to the Spider Monkey Sanctuary with an indigenous guide. After admiring all the natural beauty of the place and meeting this curious creatures, we’ll end with a shaman purification ceremony. Finally, before heading back and ending our adventure, we’ll get on a 200 meters zipline that crosses the jungle, and canoe on the waters of this paradise.
