Description

With its 600km of ski runs, Portes du Soleil is one of the the largest ski areas in the world. It encompasses thirteen ski resorts between Mont Blanc, in France, and Lake Geneva, in Switzerland. I invite you to explore this stunning region in a freeride or ski touring tour.

The best known of these ski resorts is Morzine, in France, which retains some of the traditional Alpine charm. It is also the largest town in the area and has a large variety of hotels and restaurants. But the real beauty is on the mountains!

We can focus this skiing outing on freeride or ski touring. With the freeride option, we will access the most beautiful off-piste runs from the lifts. You will enjoy skiing on virgin snow. I will show you all the best spots!

If you are prepared for the ski touring experience, we will get away from the crowds by skinning up to find the best untracked terrain of Les Portes du Soleil: I guarantee some memorable runs in this spectacular alpine landscape.

You can also arrange for more days and we can visit some of the other ski resorts in this huge domain: Avoriaz, Chatel, Champéry, Les Crosets and Morgins.

So, if you want to ski some of the best powder in the Alps, send me a request! I’ll be glad to guide around this amazing ski area that I know so well!

And if you’d like to explore another of the ski resorts of Les Portes du Soleil, check out my Avoriaz ski touring and freeride day trip.

Mountain Guide

The Jura massif is an ideal place to learn and grow your experience in alpine techniques. I practice mountaineering, ski touring and ice climbing in the winter. I am also located very close to the Swiss and French alpine massifs.

First, I started as a ski rescuer. My passion for skiing and climbing helped me discover the classic routes in the mythical summits of the Alps. The first mountain courses I went on with friends as a guide - which I did with a lot of effort, doubts and perseverance - were much needed to build my experience. Still, they also gave me a lot of joy, and I was able to pursue them while laughing and creating beautiful moments shared.

My experience and terrain knowledge will allow you to move safely and enjoy your time, without a promise of the summit but of sharing a privileged and unique moment in the mountains.

Finally, I'm a fully certified IFMGA mountain guide.

An excellent guide, who planned an amazing route and combined technical instruction with local knowledge to provide a very enjoyable day of skiing that improved my off-piste skills and gave me confidence to try lines that I would never consider alone.

A great day out exploring the off piste of the Portes de Soleil. Benjamin was friendly, professional and tailored the day to our needs perfectly. I would definitely recommend him as a mountain guide to help further your off piste and ski touring skills. He offers trips in the Portes de Soleil, Chamonix and Verbier. I’ll be looking him up for sure next year. Thanks Ben
