Description
Considered one of the best rock climbing destinations in all of Japan, Mount Ogawayama is an amazing place to enjoy some unforgettable crack climbing and face climbing.
Located in the Nagano Prefecture, Mount Ogawayama is a Japanese granite rock haven for rock-climbing enthusiasts. And, from May to October, you have plenty of opportunities to climb in this wonderful place. On this two-day crack climbing and face climbing program, you will have the chance to learn a different set of climbing skills each day. We will begin on day 1 with crack climbing and learn how to follow the cracks on the rocks to help us climb. On day 2, we will focus on face climbing, which is a technique that uses the irregularities in the rock and body positioning to go up a vertical rock face.
Our trip will begin at the JR Kobuchizawa station, where we will meet on both days. From there, we will make our way to Mount Ogawayama. Keep in mind that you can also join this program for just one of the 2 days and focus only on one technique. While your experience will dictate exactly where you climb, it is important that all participants on this trip are in good physical condition.

Mountain Guide
For about 35 years I have been immersed in the mountain world. I first started with mountaineering and climbing in the Alpine Club of the Hosei University. Since then, I have climbed K2 (8611m), Makalu(first ascent of the east ridge), Yosemite's Big Wall, several Japanese mountains, free climbing and many other peaks around the world.
I like bouldering and climbing in gyms, and I also enjoy hiking, mountain flowers and beautiful alpine scenery. In recent years, I have also developed multi-pitch routes in Japan.
I started guiding in 2000 and I love to climb beautiful mountains and diverse routes in Japan with people from all over the world. Just contact me and we will plan a great climbing or mountaineering tour together!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
