Description

Ride the classic Flume Trail that is lined with stunning natural beauty as we bike along the dirt trails of the forest that lines Lake Tahoe.

The huge freshwater lake is located in the Sierra Nevada straddling the border between Nevada and California. With a width of 12 miles and 22 miles in length, Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America.

The Flume Trail gets its name from the region’s history, where the lumber and mining industries once thrived. Given the need to transport the trees down the mountainside, flumes were built that would transport objects via the flowing waters.

The rolling hills offer us challenging uphill sections and relieving downhill respites.

We begin our ride at Spooner Lake, inside the Lake Tahoe State Park on the eastern shore.

Starting with a 4-mile climb, this scenic start will motivate us along this uphill section. Beautiful aspen groves flank our trail as we head downhill to Marlette Lake.

The riding is fast and the landscapes are breathtaking. People may enjoy natural via walks or hikes, but biking certainly gets the adrenaline pulsing, which makes it a unique way to experience the mountains.

Pedalling may become a challenge in some sections, yet the views you’ll discover are unrivalled and the hard work certainly pays off.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
