Join me on this experience of mountain biking tours in Rio de Janeiro and we will have the opportunity to discover and explore some of the myriad of delights that this magnificent city offers, as we can cycle around the world famous beaches, the idyllic and gorgeous coastline, the fascinating and lush green rainforests, and possibly the most famous landmark in Brazil, the Christ the Redeemer statue.

Rio de Janeiro is one of the most famous cities in the world, located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean and internationally renowned for its beaches, annual carnival, stunning natural beauty and its overall party vibe.

We meet in the city itself, where all relevant safety information is dispensed, before we start the riding in earnest.

There are numerous different routes we can take on our tour, including taking in the stunning Ipanema and Copacobana beaches en route to Sugarloaf Mountain, a day spent riding to and around the Christ the Redeemer statue, and cycling West along 15km of cycling lanes to the tranquil and superb Prainha Beach.

Other options include exploring the lush green forest of Tijuca Forest National Park, riding up to the peak of Telegrago to bask in the awesome views, and also potential to head to the mountains a couple of hours away from the city.

All of these options provide a wide spectrum of the exquisite and amazing natural beauty of the area, with plenty of time set aside on each ride to take in the epic and breath-taking views that are seemingly around every corner and on every peak.
