Be ready to explore two of the most impressive mountain massifs in Romania: Bucegi and Piatra Craiului Mountains!
In these four days you will stay at a local guesthouse in Moeciu village, and you will witness amazing alpine landscapes, described by limestone slopes, vertical walls, 2500 meters peaks, wild valleys, rare mountain flowers and unique fauna.
Our adventure includes challenging ascents, reaching the highest summits of both ranges, including La Om (2,238m) and Omu Peak (2,507m).
With expert guidance, carefully planned acclimatization, and awe-inspiring landscapes, this trek offers the perfect blend of adventure and natural beauty.

Itinerary
Day 1: Exploring Piatra Craiului
Transfer to Moeciu village and begin our hike in the Piatra Craiului Mountains, reaching Piatra Mică Peak and Curmătura Chalet.
Difficulty: Moderate to difficult.
Elevation gain/loss: 1,000m.
Distance: 14 km.
Duration: 6-7 hours.
Day 2: Summiting La Om
Hike to La Om Peak, the highest peak in the Piatra Craiului Mountains, offering breathtaking alpine landscapes.
Difficulty: Difficult.
Elevation gain/loss: 1,250m.
Distance: 16 km.
Duration: 8-9 hours.
Day 3: Conquering Omu Peak
Explore the Bucegi Mountains, trekking through Gaura Valley—one of Europe’s most stunning glacial valleys—before summiting Omu Peak (2,507m), the highest in the Bucegi range.
Difficulty: Difficult.
Elevation gain/loss: 1,450m.
Distance: 17 km.
Duration: 10-11 hours.

I'm Marius, a Tourism Agency Founder and Director, International Mountain Leader (UIMLA), IML instructor and vice-president of SGLM (Romanian mountain leader association) with over 10 years of experience in guiding and organizing trips in Romania and also worldwide. I have guided more than 2000 clients from over 35 countries, in several days hiking tours, backpaking tours across the Carpathians but also through Europe and Nepal.
Professionalism, responsability, true competence and love for nature are my main values which guide me in my life and also in my work. I graduated Philosophy at Babeș Bolyai University in Cluj Napoca and as we speak I am following a Master Degree in Psychology, with focus on Eco-Therapy and the effects that nature has on our wellbeing.
