Description

Come with me on this challenging 2-day guided climb to Naranjo de Bulnes (2519 meters) via the Rabadá-Navarro Route!

Naranjo de Bulnes, also known as the Pico de Urriellu, is located in the Principality of Asturias. This iconic Spanish mountain has four faces and on this trip we are going to climb its most challenging side: the Naranjo de Bulnes west face.

The west face of Naranjo de Bulnes was considered to be practically inaccessible August 21, 1962, when Alberto Rabadá y Fernando Navarro made it to the top.

With a maximum grade of 6C, this west side expedition is suitable for climbers who are in great physical condition and are ready to face this highly challenging trip! Keep in mind that this 2-day guided ascent is designed for one climber per guide.

If you want to join me on this guided two-day ascent, request to book this trip!

If you are looking for a less challenging route to reach the top of Naranjo de Bulnes, you can also join me on this Naranjo de Bulnes ascent via Pidal-Cainejo Route.

Mountain Leader

AEGM-UIMLA Guide from Spain

I did my first steps as a mountaineer as a teenager in Madrid. But the desire to enjoy all the possibilities given by the mountains convinced me to move to Benasque valley, at the heart of the Pyrenees.

Along the years I did several winter and summer activities not only in the Pyrenees, but also in Picos de Europa, Sierra Nevada, Sistema Central...

One of my passions is to travel and discover new places and cultures, so I did climbing trips to other European countries, USA, Canada, Morocco, India, Nepal, Kirguistán... This trips gave me a priceless experience that made me grow as a climber, and set the stone to my formation as professional mountain guide.

I now live in Cantabria, and usually guide both in summer and winter in the Cantabrian range.

My guide, Fran, was top-notch. Super friendly and really knew his stuff. He was fantastic at tailoring our climb based on my expectations and what I could handle and - he nailed it. Also, he communicated in English really well. On the second day we chatted away like old friends. I had an awesome time and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a personalised climbing experience.
