Description

Join me on this stunning and gorgeous half-day hike through the National Pass in the Blue Mountains National Park, near Sydney, and we will be exposed to and explore the many natural wonders of the area, from the mesmerizing and tranquil waterfalls and waterways, to the vast tracts of pristine native Aussie bushland, to the myriad of ancient rock formations and cliff faces.

The Blue Mountains National Park is an Australian UNESCO World Heritage Area located 50km West of the centre of the New South Wales state capital city of Sydney, and is famous for its masses of flora and fauna, as we as its rock formations, including the renowned Three Sisters. It is a very popular spot for outdoor activities owing to its wide-open spaces and proximity to Sydney.

Our hike begins at the Wentworth Falls picnic area, and from there we head to the awe-inspiring Jamison lookout, featuring sweeping panoramic views out over the tranquil, idyllic landscape.

From here we then tackle the historic Grand Stairway, a whopping 998 steps that leads us down to the peaceful Valley of the Waters, aptly named due to it housing the truly beguiling and alluring Empress, Silvia and Lodore falls.

During the course of the hike there will be ample time to take in and admire the absolutely amazing views of the landscape, scenery and terrain around us, with the masses of eucalyptus trees, rare and exotic plants and flowers, and native animals such as koalas and kangaroos providing an unforgettable setting. Make sure you bring your camera!

We finish the hike up at the conservation centre, hopefully having made you fall for this gorgeous part of Australia and encouraged you to check more of it out!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
