Description

Join us on an awesome day trip to the Ansó Valley, one of the best rock climbing spots in the Pyrenees!

The Pyrenees lie at the border of Spain and France. The foothills of these peaks offer lots of excellent rock climbing opportunities. On the Spanish side, in Huesca, Aragón, one of the most visited areas is the Ansó Valley. Furthermore, Ansó was home to Aragonese kings and is a traditional village. Its grandiose stone houses and the 16th Century Church of San Pedro, built in a Gothic-Renaissance style, make this town unique.

Ansó Valley is located on the banks of the Veral River and has numerous rock climbing options. Some of its most popular spots are Peña Ezkaurre and Peñaforca. We will choose the correct itinerary depending on your wishes and your climbing skills. There is a crag for everyone here, so all levels are welcome!

Keep in mind that some of the walls are bolted and some only semi-equipped. Therefore, you will need some traditional gear like nuts and cams on this trip. Also, it is important that you have a good fitness level to join. Of course, we will be there to help you every step of the way.

So, if you want to have fun and challenge yourself on this rock climbing day in the Spanish Pyrenees, please contact us. I am sure you will love the stunning landscapes of the charming Ansó Valley!

This was my first trip to Spain, and climbing was not the primary purpose. My daughter and I are both experienced climbers, but not knowing the area I decided to look for a guide so that the one day we devoted to climbing on our short trip to the Barcelona area would be efficiently used. I had no idea how to find a legitimate on-line service through which to arrange this but in my research came across this company. Via the site I found a great local guide who gave us a wonderful day of adventurous fun, not just with the climbing but also by providing the history of the area.
