Would you like to experience a multi-day rock climbing experience in Spain? Then come to Madrid and let’s travel to Cuenca and La Pedriza, two of the most famous crags in the country!
Madrid is one of the most important tourist destinations in Europe. But what many don’t know is that it is an excellent starting point for rock climbing adventures. On the outskirts of Spain’s capital city, there are a lot of crags with routes for all tastes and levels.
La Pedriza is one of the best granite spots in the country. Just an hour north of Madrid, it consists of a large park with a lot of natural rock formations. Known as Pedri, this area is home to a large variety of single and multi-pitch routes.
Cuenca is an internationally known sport climbing area 2 hours away from Madrid. The rock in this area is old limestone and most of the routes are either vertical or overhanging. However, you can find options for all climbers!
On this 4-day trip, we will spend 2 days in Cuenca and 2 days in La Pedriza. The nice weather of both locations allows us to climb during the entire year. Furthermore, we will explore the city of Cuenca with its beautiful Historic Walled Town.
So, if you are up for this exciting rock climbing tour near Madrid, please get in touch with me. Let’s head up some stunning vertical walls in Cuenca and La Pedriza!
