Description
Rock climbing is an exhilarating sport and what better place to do it than on the spectacular Andalusian limestone! Come with me on this rock climbing day for beginners in Jaen, Spain!
Located in south-central Spain, Jaen is a hidden gem that is slowly coming to light among the climbing community. With approximately 10-13 crags that hold 700 or more routes combined, this historical city’s surroundings are becoming more and more popular among Spanish rock climbers.
My proposal is to show you a stunning spot as you learn what this exhilarating sport is about. During this outdoor climbing course for beginners, I will provide you with the basic knowledge on equipment, progression and safety in rock climbing. Early in the morning we’ll start with our program and by the afternoon, all participants will have been introduced to the magical world of climbing. Furthermore, if participants desire, they may continue learning by joining us in the future on our intermediate rock climbing course in Jaen.

About the guide
Mountain Guide – Ski Guide · High Mountain Superior Sport Technician (Técnico Deportivo Superior en Alta Montaña) and Ski Mountaineering Superior Sport Technician (Técnico Deportivo Superior en Esquí de Montaña) from Spain.
He has more than 20 years doing mountain and skiing. From his early walks in La Pedriza to tens of alpine “four thousanders” summits ascended, to expeditions in North and South America, Caucasus and Central Asia, he has traveled many mountains, especially on his skis, since he is a fan of this sport in all disciplines. Mariano also enjoys classic climbing and mountaineering.
He has Mountain Guide and Ski Mountaineering Guide certifications from the AAGGM.
He's a great teacher and teaches with the same passion with which he enjoys the mountain. He speaks spanish, english, italian, french (basic) and russian (basic).
