Berga is a small city, capital of the Bergueda county, just 1h30′ from Barcelona, in Catalonia. It offers lots of great options for sport climbing, together with sunny weather and beautiful landscapes.

This rock climbing day is an opportunity to discover this very peaceful place, enjoying a great climb in good limestone, at the foothills of the Pyrenees. The Bergada county is a region of lush valleys and pretty traditional villages.

Berga has something for everyone, with a variety of good options for all levels, from beginners to experienced climbers. So, whether you want to venture yourself into rock climbing or you already have some experience and you want to explore a new venue, I will guide you up the routes that best suit your ability.

I’m Xavi Fàbregas, a certified climbing and mountain guide and a Biology graduated.

I started climbing as a child, where with a group of friends we started on multipitch climbing in the hand of the then guardian of Sant Benet. I have made several climbs in the Alps, Atlas, Southeast Asia, Patagonia, Jordan... and I love it! The Pyrenees its the place where I've toured more.

Xavi was wonderful. My daughter and I had a great climb. Early in our hike, while I was enjoying Xavi, I wondered if we really needed him. Then it became clear that it is easy to lose your way on Pedraforca and many do. It was much more enjoyable to have him with us and not have to worry about directions! We had some great conversations and learned a lot about Catalonia as well. Pedraforca itself is legendary, not because it is difficult but because it is so beautiful and unique.
