Description

La Pedriza is a geological park with granitic outcrops, visited by climbers from all over the world. On this day trip I will take you to El Pajaro, one of its most important crags. Join me for an amazing rock climbing day!

Just an hour north of Madrid, La Pedriza is located on the southern slopes of the Guadarrama Mountains. It has numerous peaks, rocky cliffs, meadows and streams. The Risco del Pájaro monolithic is visible from different points, and is probably its most famous spot.

In El Pájaro there are bolted routes for all levels. These are some of the options that we can try, depending on your skills and your wishes:

– West Face: Classic West (or Peñalara).

– South Face: Classic South.

– East Face: Classic East (or Pedro Ramos).

For this day trip you need to have rock climbing experience and a a good fitness level. Of course, I will help you all along the way!

So, if you want to explore one of the best granite climbing areas in Spain, please contact me. I’ll be glad to guide you through the stunning routes of El Pájaro, in La Pedriza!

I also offer a 2-day rock climbing trip in Mallos de Riglos: check it out!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
