Join this unique ski touring expedition in one of the most remote and breathtaking landscapes on earth. During 1 week, you’ll explore the stunning Svalbard archipelago, skiing from a moving base camp aboard the M/Y Ocean C. This expedition will take you to the untouched slopes of coastal mountains, surrounded by glaciers and Arctic beauty.

With 24-hour daylight, you’ll enjoy ski tours on peaks ranging from 600 to 1,000 meters, using zodiacs to reach shore before ascending to enjoy some of the best freeride skiing in the Arctic. The journey starts and ends at Longyearbyen harbor, with ample time to explore the area’s rugged mountains, including Ymer Bukta, Trygghamna, and Dahlbrebukta.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

  • Arrival at Longyearbyen Harbor
  • Board the Ocean C yacht
  • Review safety and trip program
  • Departure from Longyearbyen Harbor, dinner aboard the ship

Day 2 to 7: Ski Days

  • Ski touring daily from the yacht, with potential areas including Ymer Bukta, Trygghamna, Grönfjorden, Prinz Karls Forland, Sankt Jonsfjorden, and Kongsfjorden
  • Use zodiacs to land on the shore, then ski ascending peaks from 600 to 1,000 meters
  • Flexible schedule to enjoy the best skiing conditions with continuous daylight

Day 8: Departure

  • Return to Longyearbyen Harbor

We typically aim to ski from peaks ranging between 600-1,000 meters high, surrounded by majestic Arctic glaciers.

Given that we will be operating in 24-hour daylight, we might adjust the daily rhythm to make the most of the perfect skiing conditions, ensuring you experience the best of Svalbard’s terrain. After skiing, we'll return to the yacht, enjoy a hearty meal, and share the day’s adventures.
