Itinerary

Day 1: Meet up in Voss, Norway

We kick off the adventure with a meet-up at the historic Fleischer’s Hotel in Voss, where we enjoy a gourmet 3-course dinner while reviewing the itinerary for the days ahead.

Day 2: Ride to Raundalen

After breakfast, we take a short train ride to Raundalen and begin our first ski tour. Skiing through stunning landscapes, we glide down to Brandseth Mountain Lodge, where we’ll stay for the night. We’ll ski right to the doorstep, ending the day surrounded by mountain serenity.

Distance: 18 km
Elevation gain: 1300 meters

Day 3: Vision of the Fjords

The next day on the slopes offers excellent views of Nærøyfjorden. We enjoy great runs before skiing all the way down to the village at the fjord's edge. From there, we board the Vision of the Fjords cruise, perhaps the world’s most picturesque after-ski experience!

We disembark at Flåm, where we’ll stay by the pier with an option to sample local brews at the Ægir brewpub.

Distance: 22 km
Elevation gain: 1700 meters

Day 4: Flåmsbanen

In the morning, we head to the railway station and ride the iconic Flåmsbanen back into the mountains. After checking into Vatnahalsen mountain lodge, we’ll explore the area on skis, taking in the spectacular terrain before enjoying a farewell dinner.

Distance: 10 – 15 km
Elevation gain: 1000 – 1500 meters

Day 5: End of trip

On our final day, we’ll select the best ski tour from the surrounding area to complete the trip. Afterward, we catch the train for our return journey to Oslo or Bergen.

I hold a passion for mountain adventures, especially for secret gems off the beaten path.

Through the companies Svaneti Backcountry and Urørt, I have been organizing guided ski tours to Svaneti since 2013. I have first-hand knowledge of the skiing, culture, and local partners in the area.

As a mountain bike guide, I am at the top of my game in my own backyard, which consists of the local mountains, Rondane National Park and the area surrounding Røros.

Wherever we go, I am ready to show you the best trails adjusted to your level and needs.
