One of the most exotic skiing destinations we can find in Norway are the Lofoten Islands: amazing sunsets, magical aurora borealis, skiing to the very edge of the sea, incredible fjords and majestic mountains that rise from sea level!
My invitation is to discover this magical place by skiing the different amazing peaks that can be found here. In terms of technical difficulty and depending on participants’ wishes, we will choose which mountains to ski every day: Varden (700 mt), Stortind (731 mt), Rundfjellet (803 mt), Torksmannen (755mt), Breitind (672 mt), Kistbergtind (661 mt), Trosadelen (996 mt), … and more!
Every morning we will have breakfast at 8:30 and leave in our vehicle to the chosen area for that day. We will start ascending at less than 100 meters of altitude, in many cases a few meters from the shore of some fjords and always with the sea in the background!
We will meet at the Oslo airport. Once we arrive to the Lofoten Islands, participants will get transported to the beautiful town of Henningsvaer to the comfortable fishing huts where we will be staying all week. After a long day of ski, nothing better than to rest and enjoy the typical Norwegian food made by the hands of a local chef!
If you like, one day we can rent some kayaks and go for a ride in the company of a local guide. And, if you are interested, during our week there will be different workshops of laps, foraging techniques, rowing and more!
So if you are ready for this amazing trip in the Lofoten Islands, request to book this trip!
– Meeting at the airport in Oslo, we check in luggage and pick up the vehicle and go to Henningsvaer where we will stay in beautiful cabins near the port. This will be our base camp throughout the week.
– Breaffing of what will be the week, the expected weather and conditions.
– Preparation for the next day’s departure.
– Dinner at the restaurant and rest.
These days will all have a similar operation, breakfast at 8.30, leave to the chosen area and be back at 5:00 pm.
We will choose ascents depending on the weather conditions. There we have more than twenty mountains less than an hour’s drive, all of them with slopes of less than 1000 meters, so we can make different combinations and peaks each day depending on our wishes.
In all of them there is a curious factor in common, we will start the activity at less than 100 meters of altitude and in many cases a few meters from the shore of some fjords, and always with the sea in the background!
– The logistics of this last day will depend on the flight schedules to Oslo.
– Breakfast at 7 a.m.
– 8 a.m. departure to the airport

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
