Kamchatka

17 Days

Mar - May

Description

Join me in a 17-day ski tour around the most outstanding peaks and volcanoes of Kamchatka. A unique expedition with helicopter transfers!

Kamchatka is a 1250 km long volcanic peninsula located in Siberia, in the East of Russia. Its volcanic part, with more than 100 volcanoes, has been a World Heritage Site of Unesco since 1997.

Kamchatka will provide us with amazing open areas where to enjoy the best ski itineraries. We can find ski descents and tracks for all levels. What is more exciting is that, during this adventure, our transfer will be a helicopter! That way we can use the time exclusively for skiing around the peninsula.

We’ll climb several peaks and volcanoes if snow conditions and eruptive smoke allow us. If you want more details about the program, please check this sample itinerary:

  • Day 1: Arrival to the Petropavlovsk Airport and transfer to a hotel of the town or to another lodge in Paratunka.

  • Day 2: A transfer will take you to Kozyrevsk or Esso. We can spend the night in a hostel or a guesthouse.

  • Day 3: We’ll flight to our base camp by helicopter. We will define the site previously, according to the group level and snow conditions.

  • Days 4-14: We will climb and enjoy some ski touring in the following peaks and volcanoes: Ovalnaya Zimina, Kretsovsky, Tolbachik, Klyuchevskaya, Ushovsky, Kamen and Biezymyanni.

  • Day 15: Return by helicopter to Kozyrevsk or Esso. We can spend the night in a hostel or a guesthouse.

  • Day 16: Transfer by minibus to Petrop. We can rest and spend the night in a hotel of the town, in Elyzovo or in Paratunka.

  • Day 17: A transfer will take you to the airport where you’ll fly back home.

So, don’t wait any longer. Get in touch with me and book your place for one of my departure dates of 2017. I can take to Kamchatka a maximum of 8 people. Tell your friends and let’s ski around this amazing peninsula!

I work together with a group of guides, so if I’m not available, one of my colleagues will guide you.
