Description

This program combines an easy ski mountaineering ascent to the Breithorn, with a beautiful ski descent through the Porta Nera Glacier.

During this trip we’ll ascent a 4000 meters peak: the Breithorn, in the Mount Rose massif.

After that, we’ll descent through one of the most beautiful glaciers in the Monte Rosa range, Porta Nera.

As regards accommodation, we’ll stay in the hut ‘Rifugio Guide del Cervino’ at Plateau Rosà. Here you will enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Matterhorn and taste delicious Italian food!

Depending on our schedule, we may have time to visit Zermatt. It’s a wonderful Swiss village at the base of the Matterhorn.

This can be a 1-day trip. We can spend one night at the hut and climb up Breithorn the following day. After that, we descend through Porta Nera glacier.

However, we can also take it easy and split it into a 2-day trip. This way, we will sleep 2 nights in the hut, climb up Beithorn the first day and descend the Porta Nera glacier the second day. Besides, this second option allows more time to be spent visiting the village of Zermatt.

Please contact me if you want to organize a ski trip in this area. I will be glad to be your guide there.

I also like organizing ski trips in other places like Mount Adamello, Lombardia or in the Mont Blanc Massif.
