If you want to learn the basics of ski touring, then this 1-day course in Lesachtal is the perfect opportunity for you!

Lesachtal is a beautiful valley in the state of Carinthia in Austria. Also it's is a great spot for winter activities. So, besides learning the basics of ski touring, we will enjoy amazing views of the Alps!

We will meet at the Hepi Lodge, in Liesing, in the Lesachtal Valley. And along this 1-day training I will teach you the secrets of this exciting activity! You will learn walking technique and how to handle your equipment, among other key aspects of ski touring.

We will go over relevant and basic ski touring techniques. Then, gradually, we will start practicing them during our own ski tour. Most important, you will get individual tips to improve your own technique and experience!

If you want to receive further training on LVS search and indidual and multiple rescue, I offer a course on Saturdays. On this 1-day basic ski touring course we will not have enough time to see it in depth.

Regarding the safety equipment, you can borrow it for a fee, on request. Also, remember to bring your own ski touring equipment, suitable clothes and a small backpack.

I’m a IFMGA certified mountain guide and a nature lover. I was born in 1983 and I studied Cultural and social anthropology at the Vienna University.

Mountains, water, cultures have been always my passion. That’s why I’m a mountain, ski, canyoning and rafting guide, also a ski instructor and a snowboard enthusiast.

Helene and myself are the owners of the Hepi lodge. A space for mountaineers, climbers, skiing enthusiasts where besides offering the accommodation service we proposed varied programmes of different activities: rock climbing, ski touring, canyoning, hiking tours.

I guide most of my time in Lesachtal Valley: St Lorenzen, St Jakob, Birnbaum, Karnische Alps and Lienz Dolomites.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
