4 Days
Feb, Mar, Apr
In this 4-day program, we will go ski touring in Mt. Perdido and Ordesa National Park, discovering a very different and unique landscape.
Monte Perdido is the third highest peak in the Pyrenees, but the highest calcareous (limestone) mountain.
We will have a standard itinerary, but according to the level of the participants, we can slightly change the activity every day. So this program is suitable both for those skiers who just have some experience in ski touring, but also for those looking for more challenging runs.
We will meet in Gavarnie, in France. During the second day, we will cross from France to Spain through the Brecha de Roland. Then we will ascend the Taillon peak and maybe the Casque peak as well. The main focus of the third day is the ascent of Monte Perdido. Finally, we will return from Goriz (in Spain) to Gavarnie.
I like this program because it offers different options for different levels. You can see more details of the options in the detailed itinerary below. But you need some previous experience and an intermediate level of ski touring.
So don’t hesitate to contact me if you are interested in discovering this beautiful region of the Pyrenees, ski touring in Mt. Perdido and Ordesa National Park. I’ll be glad to guide you there! Another great option to enjoy ski touring in the Pyrenees is to combine it with heliski, check it out.

Starting from Gavarnie, in France, during the first day we will go to Sarradets refuge. Sarradets is opened and fully serviced in spring, but if we go in winter we have to take our own food.
We will do the crossing from France to Spain through the Brecha de Roland, a beautiful and iconic mountain pass. If we go for an easier option, we can go up and ski down from Taillon peak (3144m), and spend the night in Goriz refuge. If we want to do something more challenging we can go both for Taillon and the Casque peak (3006m), before going down to Goriz.
From Goriz, we skin up and ski down Monte Perdido (3355m), and spend the night again in Goriz refuge. If we want a more challenging option, we can go up Monte Perdido and Torre de Marboré/Gavarnie (3009m).
We return from Goriz to Gavarnie through Gabietos, closing a circular circuit.

The story begins when your parents put you the skis when you are still wearing diapers, when you discover every summer the lakes of the Pyrenees, and after that you start going for the summits. When climbing and the feeling of freedom that comes with it gets you hooked, and there's nothing you can do about it.
It continues when you choose your career following the name: Technical Mountain Engineering, in Lleida, close to the Pyrenees, and you start working as a ski instructor during weekends. And year after year, trip after trip, run after run, you start getting together with young mountaineers, and closer to the formation as a mountain guide.
Expeditions, trips, some award and the constant formation and evolution are what built this long journey, which allows me to share the world that I love with others. And thanks to the works as a guide I can enjoy everything: the great moments that the mountain gave me, in the snow, rock or ice, and above all the moving feeling of realizing how small we are in the immensity of the summits.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
