Description

Reach the peak of the stunning Morrón del Mediodía, in the Sierra Nevada National Park using the ancient technique of snowshoeing. Join me for an amazing adventure on this Spanish treasure.

Snowshoeing is an amazing sport for winter and outdoor lovers! If you haven’t tried it (or if you have), you’ll learn that the snow rackets allow you to move faster and easierly through difficult snowy terrains. It also gives you the advantage of not having to follow a marked trail. Get ready to have some fun!

We’ll start our tour from Puerto de la Ragua, located at 2000 meters above sea level, and slowly ascend towards Morrón del Mediodía at 2760 meters. This is the highest point in Marquesado del Zenete. We’ll get stunning views of the Mulhacen, Alcazaba and Veleta.

Make sure to bring mountain boots, adequate clothing, a windbreaker, food and plenty of water. The snowshoes and sticks for the trip are included in the price.

So send your request and get ready for an exciting snowshoeing trip! I would love to guide you on this breathtaking National Park.

If you’re looking for more snowshoeing fun, check out the trips I offer to Chullo Peak and around Sierra Nevada.

UIMLA Mountain Leader | AEGM Tour guide Mountain / Mountain Leader Sports Technician

Since I was a kid I travelled around the hills and peaks of Sierra Nevada range in south Spain, going up and down the valleys that made me in love with the mountains world.

Steadily, I discovered other ranges of the Iberic peninsula such as the Pyrenees and Picos de Europa, and then I travelled to the peruvian Andes, the Amazonas jungle, the Moroccan Atlas...

Thanks to these experiences and two years of studying to become a professional mountain guide, I started a new project called Nevalia mountain guides.

I hope I can help you to make true your mountain dreams!

Before the hike, the guide was very professional, taking the initiative to stay in touch, responding quickly, and being very flexible. Shortly before the hike, we received a message that the guide had been changed. The new guide also reached out proactively and communicated very well. During the hike, the guide was very helpful, caring, friendly, and considerate. I had two children with me (ages 11 and 9), for whom this was their first mountain hike. The guide adjusted to their pace, making the hike truly enjoyable. Throughout the hike, we saw many breathtaking views and mountain goats, experiencing both challenging ascents and easier descents. My family was extremely satisfied with the hike!

The trip was great. Unfortunately, due to very bad weather conditions, we were not able to climb to the top of the Toubkal

Our guide was actually Ruben. Alejandro was sick. Ruben was just great. Definitely 5 stars.

Our guide was changed on us last minute. Before the hike, I had missed the messages from the guide because the notifications went to a weird place in my email inbox. Because we messaged him late, he cancelled on us. I was worried we wouldn't be able to go on the hike at all. Luckily, we ended up going with a different guide, Victoria, who was lovely.

I really enjoyed the trip! Alejandro was a great guide. The only few things to work on are: -Alcazaba was not possible because of snow. I definitely understand this but it was not communicated until we were on the trail -Explore share was difficult as a third party to communicate with- It worked better once I got email working directly -I think the cost for the trip is high but if it goes to the guide and not explore-share that's one thing.. if a lot goes to explore-share I would prefer to find guides on my own
