Open to everyone
Join me on this snowshoeing tour to explore the beautiful Sierra de Guadarrama National Park while trekking on recently fallen snow.
The park, while stunning year-round, becomes a winter wonderland from December to April. Snowshoes allow us to walk on snow comfortably by distributing our weight over a larger area. Snowshoes have always been essential for people whose livelihoods require getting around in deep snow, but these days snowshoeing is also a popular recreational activity. No previous experience is required and it’s a blast for kids (ages 6+) and adults alike.
As we trek through the snow we’ll admire the silent forests, frozen rivers and high mountain peaks. It’s an enchanting experience and a great way to connect to nature in the winter.
Book now for a snowshoeing adventure in Sierra de Guadarrama National Park that will fill you with wonder.
If you prefer to experience the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park during the summer months, check out this day hike in La Pedriza or this day hike and guided tour of the Royal Seat of San Lorenzo de El Escorial.

Temperatures can easily be -5°C, but it’s a dry cold. Temperatures rise dramatically when the sun comes out, and snowshoeing is quiet strenuous, so you need lightweight layers that you can add or take-off quickly. Cotton t-shirts will stay wet and cold on your body; thermal clothing is best (capilene, merino wool, Odlo, etc.). As important as it is not to underdress for the weather, it’s also important not to overdress. Learn to listen to your body and anticipate your needs. Shed a layer BEFORE you start to overheat, and add a layer BEFORE you start to chill. And, always carry an extra layer of dry clothes and socks in your pack.
What to bring: -Backpack. -Mountain/Hiking boots or aprés ski boots. -Mountain wear/Sport wear (according to the winter season). -Fleece. -Waterproof jacket (windproof/waterproof Gore Tex type). -Warn hat and warm gloves. Headband/buff. -Sun screen and lip balm. -Sun hat. -Sport Sunglasses or ski goggles. -Mobile phone and camera, Passport/Identification document and personal belongings and medication in a plastic bag. -1,5 L of water and snacks (sandwich, fruit, nuts, energy bars, etc…) per person. Thermo flask (hot tea/coffee).

Great guide! We actually did La Peidrias after assessing that was up to it. Very Informative! Would recommend it to all.
We highly recommend the service. Our hike and daytrip to Segovia was perfect and we couldn’t have planned it better ourselves. The staff are all welcoming and friendly and it was one of the highlights of our stay in Madrid.
We had a great experience. Hector worked with us to plan a trip that was appropriate to our (non-beginner, non-pro) skill level, and really fun. He even managed to find a place to climb that mitigated the late summer Madrid heat. He was very friendly and helpful and an excellent teacher. We will definitely book again next time we come to Madrid.
Hugo and Ivan provided terrific service and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Jason
We took the hike to the national park with Danielle the guide. It was an extraordinary trip. We really enjoyed the view. We climbed on the rocks and through the forest. So beautiful scenery and rivers, waterfalls and everything was fantastic! I truly recommend Doing this for those who love nature
We had a fantastic day, thanks to Dani!
This is our first time using ExploreShare and it has been an absolute success. Our guide Danny was incredible. We traveled the world and he is one of the most knowledgeable people I met who truly know2s and appropriates the nature! He is also very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. My wife and i hike at different levels and he was able to cater to both of us during the hike. This trip is perfect for those visiting Madrid and not wanting to rent a car, Danny was able to pick us up and drop us off with no problem at all! I would 100% recommend this to anyone with a well deserved 5-star rating!
Absolutely amazing experience horseback riding on a ranch about 1 hour from Madrid. The horses were incredibly well trained and the staff were able to provide very good technique pointers for both beginner and intermediate riders in multiple languages including English and Spanish. The ride was well catered to the abilities of the group. Gabriel was absolutely amazing in organizing the trip, picking us up and dropping us off in Madrid and catering to some last minute changes we had. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone who wants to enjoy beautiful nature with good people and horses! I would also 100% recommend DreamPeak Tours and Gabriel for any outdoor activities!
Thank you so much for arranging this adventure perfectly. The guide Dani was very kind, polite, communicative and punctual. The track was exactly what I wanted. So, I definitely recommend your service and this via ferrata to everyone. Thank you very much again! :)
Great experience! They answered so quickly to all my questions, explained everything in detail and the channel of communication was perfect. The experience itself was great! I had a great guide (Luis) who took good care of me, was very patient and supportive as it was my first time rock climbing. He was full of interesting ideas and explanations. Good combination of climbing & hiking in the mountain. I could not recommend enough Explore Share and Dreampeaks 🙏

Great tour, nice nice guide always trying to teach things. Helpful and great experience The views were wonderful. Weather fine, the stars at night amazing. I liked very much
Very enjoyable trip and hassle-free organisation. Everyone involved went out their way to make sure I had a fantastic time, and personalised the trip according to my interests and needs.
My guide Luis was great! He was very informative and entertaining, and made sure that we walked at my pace. He was very knowledgeable about the area and told me a lot about it. I like his philosophy of "leave the places you visit better than how you found them" and his passion for hiking, camping, and the outdoors. We also went to El Escorial, which was impressive and fascinating. I really enjoyed my day up in the mountains with Luis and thank him for inspiring me to continue on this path of exploring our beautiful world. I would highly recommend Luis and your company for others looking for hiking or trekking opportunities.
Our guide was not Gabriel, but a subcontractor names Luis. He was great! (very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly) and should have gotten 5 stars except that he arrived late to pick us up, and he said he would send pictures but didn't. Our scramble at La Pedriza was awesome! Explore Share should maybe get 3 1/2 stars, I found their description of this adventure not accurate. It said we would climb La Pedriza and Penalara (not possible in one day) and no experience was necessary. A beginner hiker would find this challenging, would have to turn back before the real adventure begins, and be disappointed. Scrambling requires an intermediate fitness level. And the picture shown with the advertisement isn't what we saw, no jagged peaks, no helmets, no ropes. All things considered it was still a great experience!

Thank you Luis for a great trip to La Pedriza! We learnt a lot and thank you for bringing us hiking around the area even after we were done with the climbing :)
