Snowshoe around the stunning Tossa Plana de Lles for the day. Calling all winter lovers!

Join me on this spectacular snowshoeing adventure around the Tossa Plana de Lles, in the border between Spain and Andorra. Just two hours away from Barcelona, this fantastic place offers spectacular views of the Pyrenees and the opportunity to reach Baixa Cerdanya’s highest peak at 2.905 meters.

This trip will allow us to get to know one of Cerdanya’s best mountains. We’ll start in Refugi de Cap de Rec. Then, we’ll go through a black pine forest until we reach Refugi del Pradell. This destination offers stunning views of Serra del Cadí. We’ll then start our ascent towards the Tossa Plana.

For our way back, we can choose the same route or descend towards the beautiful hidden lake of Estany de l’Orri.

You do not need to be an expert snowshoer, but you do need to be in good shape. We’ll be gaining an elevation of 1.000 meters and I want you to enjoy it! Make sure to bring adequate clothing for a winter sport, long waterproof boots, leggings, sunscreen, lip balm, hat and sun glasses.

I am David and I live near the Pyrenees Mountains.

I am a Mountain Leader, with international certification UIMLA, and I am an Arctic Guide and Wilderness Guide by WGA (Wilderness Guides Association), too.

I am a mountain-lover. I like the nature and everything related to it. I like doing any activity in the nature and I like sharing it with the people who have the same interests as me.
I respect the people and the local cultures and I try that my activity has a positive effect on the area where I do it.

I absolutely think that to enjoy the mountain and do it with safety it is necessary that you are trained, both technically and physically. This is the reason why my life is a constant learning experience.

I like knowing where I am and who lives in that zone. I like knowing all that happens around me and all that happened before and I like to observe the tracks and signs that the animals make.

I practice the "Leave no trace". That is, when I go to the mountain to enjoy it and to enjoy its nature I do not want that my presence becomes noticeable, both during my stay and after.
This way to understand the mountain and the nature makes me practice a lot of sports and I choose the most appropriate discipline and modality in every situation.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
