The Spaghetti ski-tour is an expertly guided, refuge-to-refuge crossing of the Monte Rosa massif over four intense days on skis, designed for highly trained ski mountaineers with prior experience on 4000 m peaks.
Starting from the valley and moving steadily up into high alpine terrain, the route links a sequence of classic summits: Western Breithorn (4 165 m), Castor (4 225 m), the Nose of Lyskamm (4 272 m), Pyramid Vincent (4 215 m), Balmenhorn (4 167 m), Ludwigshöhe (4 341 m), and culminates with Punta Gnifetti (4 554 m), all 4000-metre summits.
Each day features significant altitude changes and demanding ski-mountaineering passages, so you should be comfortable with long days, technical skinning, bootpacks and variable snow conditions; the group size is deliberately small (minimum two, maximum three participants) to ensure tight guidance, safety and efficient movement across crevassed glaciers.
Accommodation is in mountain refuges along the route, equipment rental is available, and the program is scheduled for 22–26 April 2026 and 29 April–3 May 2026, with other dates possible on request depending on refuge availability and a minimum of two participants.
If you are a fit, experienced ski-mountaineer seeking a compact, high-altitude crossing of Monte Rosa led by an expert guide, this tour delivers an unforgettable, technically demanding alpine experience.
If you’re ready for an unforgettable high-altitude adventure across the Monte Rosa range — eight 4000 m summits, four days of pure alpine immersion, and world-class guiding — join us on the Spaghetti ski-tour and experience one of the most spectacular ski-mountaineering traverses in the Alps.

Elevation gain: 300 m from Zermatt / 700 m from Cervinia.
Duration: 2–5 hours.
Meeting in Zermatt, either directly at the top section of the cable car at Klein Matterhorn (location shared in the WhatsApp group), or in Cervinia, for equipment check and briefing. We will ascend to the Breithorn Pass and continue to the summit of the Western Breithorn (4,165 m). The descent goes beneath the Central Breithorn, Roccia Nera, and Pollux, down to the Verraz Pass. After about one hour of descent, we reach the Guide di Ayas Hut at Lambronecca (3,400 m). Dinner and overnight stay at the hut.
Elevation gain: 800 m.

We will climb toward the west face of Castor (4,225 m). The view from the summit of Castor (4,200 m) opens up in all directions: from the Margherita Hut to the Lyskamm, from Gran Paradiso to Mont Blanc. The descent first follows a beautiful and easy snowy ridge, then continues down the steep slope from the Felik Pass. Crossing the Felik Glacier, we reach the Quintino Sella Hut (3,575 m). Dinner and overnight stay at the hut.
Elevation gain: 800 m.

After about two hours of skinning on the Western Lys Glacier, we will tackle the steep ascent of the Lyskamm Nose (4,272 m). An easy descent leads onto the Eastern Lys Glacier, which we cross toward the Pyramid Vincent (4,215 m). After reaching the summit, a beautiful descent brings us to the Gnifetti Hut (3,647 m). Dinner and overnight stay at the hut.
Elevation gain: 1,500 m Descent: 2,062 m Ascent time: 4–5 hours Descent time: 3–4 hours
Today we will climb toward the Gnifetti Pass and then reach the highest hut in Europe, the Capanna Regina Margherita (4,554 m). (Option to skip this stage and descend directly down the Gorner Glacier to Zermatt.) From here, we will enjoy an exciting and long descent all the way to Zermatt.
Using the ski lifts, we will return to Klein Matterhorn, from where it will be possible to descend to Cervinia.
NOTE: There is the option to descend to Staffal (Gressoney) from the Capanna Margherita by taking the Punta Indren cable car. In this case, a taxi will be required to reach Cervinia.
