Picos de Europa are a dazzling limestone range that offer breathtaking views. Although most of it summits require certain degree of preparation, their endless options of routes offer something for every type of climber. So I can suggest the best program depending on your level of expertise, and how long you wish to stay.

Choose amongst the many summits we can climb, including Torre Cerredo (2,648 m), the highest peak on this range. If you are an intermediate or an expert climber, this mountain will definitely challenge your skills, as it requires previous experience.

Then, if you are looking for an easier ascent, we can climb Peña Santa (2,596 m). The normal routes on this mountain, make it for a pleasant climb.

Also, we could visit Peña Vieja (2,613 m), which offers the most hypnotizing views in the whole area. We can reach any of its routes from the Fuente Dé or Aliva cable cars.

Furthermore, we can explore the Montaña Palentina region, with mountains as impressive as Peña Prieta, Espigüete, Pico Murcia or Curavacas. We’ll enjoy wonderful sceneries, and breathe in the purest air from any of this summits.

Mountain Guide

AEGM Mountain Guide from Spain

Passionate for mountains since I was a kid, at 14 I started climbing in Atxarte (Vizcaya) walls, thanks to some friends. Later I discovered other activities such as canyoning, skiing and ice climbing, which allowed me to enjoy mountains both in summer and in winter.

I travelled around Europe, USA, India, Peru, Marruecos, among others, with the excuse of climbing some peak, wall, or doing some canyoning.

I've been a member of the 'Young Alpinists Technification Team' of the Basque Mountain Federation, and after gaining experience in all mountain disciplines I left behind my job as electronic technician to become a guide in order to pass on my passion and knowledge to others.
