Description

I invite you to join me on the Tour des Muverans, a 5-day amazing hiking tour, with magnificent views on the Mont Blanc Massif, the Rhône Valley, the Swiss and French Alps, the Combins massif, and so much more!

The Tour des Muverans offers an incredible hiking experience in a beautiful alpine setting, between the Cantons of Valais and Vaud. The trail allows you  to enjoy the exceptional alpine fauna and flora of this area, on a unique nature discovery tour. You will discover wonderful alpine floral essences, chamois, ibex and marmots, and we may even see and eagle and a bearded vulture.

Overlooking the Rhone valley, the Grand Muveran (3051) is the highest point of the Muverans, a group of mountains composed of several summits of about 3000 metres. Along the way we will get to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views.

Besides, we will hike through a great diversity of landscapes, with very particular geological features. Even if you are not a geology specialist, you will be constantly surprised by the immense variety of rocks and layers attesting the strength of the Earth’s movements. We will find elements from all ages: carboniferous rocks, flint, lapies and ammonites fossils tell the story of our planet.

We will meet in Pont de Nant (over Bex). This is the gate of a wonderful and protected valley who welcomes us with it's mountain botanic garden. Besides, with more than a dozen mountain shelters and huts scattered along the trail, we will find comfortable accommodation options on our way. Every night we will stay in a different refuge.

Please send me a request if you want to join me on this unique Tour des Muverans. We will spend 5 amazing days walking enjoying spectacular alpine scenery. If you are looking for other hiking tours in Switzerland, check out my profile page.

Mountain Leader

My need for calm and quiet often pushes me to escape to the local mountains. My passion for trekking has also taken me to Nepal and New Zealand.

I completed my training as a mountain leader at the St-Jean School in Switzerland many years ago. But even before that, more than fifteen years ago, I had started accompanying groups who wanted to discover the world of the Alps.

Whatever your desires, your tastes or the difficulty, there is always something to discover: the nature, the flowers, the woods, the fauna, the geology, or the culture of the places we visit. Whether on or off the beaten tracks, on foot, on snowshoes or by bike, I look forward to helping you discover my little corner of paradise!
