Description

Surrounded by a number of breathtaking peaks, the Pyrenees are a truly stunning place. Like a painting come to life, this famous mountain range seems to go on forever. And, for climbers from around the world the potential climbing spots in the mountain range also seem to go on forever as well. Hence, why people spend so much time in the Pyrenees, climbing and exploring to their heart’s content.

During this trip, which will focus primarily on traditional, or trad climbing, I will guide you to the best spots in the Pyrenees. You will get to choose from a wonderful selection of thrilling walls.

Just a few examples of where you can go include the Mallos de Riglos in Huesca, which has walls like the Visor, the Mallo Pison and the Red Needle. You can also enjoy a number of walls in Ordesa, which has routes like Ravier, Tozal de Mallo and the Brujas Franco Espanola. Another option is the walls on the incredible Midi D’Ossau. And, just in case you want even more options, I can also take you to the Pena Montanesa, the Anso Valley, The Tena Valley, Aspe and Anayet.

To participate on this trip, you should have prior rock climbing experience. You should also be in good physical condition.

The Pyrenees are a great place for climbing. And on this trip, I would like to take you to the best place for trad climbing. To join me, just send a request. I look forward to guiding you.

I also offer a trad climbing trip in the Picos de Europa, which you can enjoy here.

Mountain Guide

AEGM Mountain Guide from Spain

Passionate for mountains since I was a kid, at 14 I started climbing in Atxarte (Vizcaya) walls, thanks to some friends. Later I discovered other activities such as canyoning, skiing and ice climbing, which allowed me to enjoy mountains both in summer and in winter.

I travelled around Europe, USA, India, Peru, Marruecos, among others, with the excuse of climbing some peak, wall, or doing some canyoning.

I've been a member of the 'Young Alpinists Technification Team' of the Basque Mountain Federation, and after gaining experience in all mountain disciplines I left behind my job as electronic technician to become a guide in order to pass on my passion and knowledge to others.
