We’ll take you on an adventurous full day trail running tour around the beautiful island of Madeira. And as we’ll traverse the idyllic landscapes of dense forests and high mountains along the coast of Atlantic Ocean, we’ll test ourselves and push our limits to complete this challenging 20kms+ run.

Located in the North Atlantic Ocean, the island of Madeira is an autonomous region of Portugal and is a popular tourist destination due to its stunning landscape, pleasant climate and fascinating culture. The island is rich in biodiversity and many parts are recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

We will begin this journey by picking you from your hotel. You can choose from a variety of available routes (20km or more)– from Porto da Cruz, Santana, Portela, Poiso or Machico.

Porto da Cruz is a beautiful village situated on the Northeast Coast of the island. This trail involves running through lush Laurissilva forest, soaking in the stunning views of the mountains and the ocean.

Santana is a picturesque route involving a run through the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. It also takes you through the beautiful Laurissilva Forest.

Portela is a serene path which passes through lush forests and local irrigation channels commonly know as levadas.

Poiso is a high altitude route(1400m) which takes us through two types of forests, past firewood and descends to Ribeiro Frio before ascending back to Poiso.

Machico is a historic city and also the second most populous on the island. This trail provides stunning views of the houses and buildings erected against the vast expanses of the ocean. The Pico do Facho viewpoint overlooks the beautiful city, before passing through rails and levadas.
