Are you ready to explore the beautiful Val d’Aran located in the heart of the Spanish Pyrenees? Join me on this exciting 2-day splitboarding tour and discover this amazing Spanish valley!
Located in the region of Catalonia in northern Spain, the charming mountain village of Salardú will be our starting point. From there, we will go to the Bonaigua Port (2,072 m / 6,798 ft). I will also guide you through the famous Gerber and Saboredo Valleys and we may even ascend the great Puig de Gerber (2744 meters)! Finally, we will rest and relax at the Saboredo mountain hut, where we will enjoy an exquisite meal made with organic products from the area.
Famous for its spectacular landscapes and high quality snow, Val d’Aran will be the perfect playground for our 2-day tour. You will need an intermediate ski or splitboarding level. Meeting in Vielha.
Meeting at the parking lot of Salardú at 8:30.
After an equipment check, we will go to the Bonaigua parking lot of La Peulla (30min).
At 9.30 we will go to Gerber Valley, cross the lake with the same name and go to the Saboredo hill or the Estanh Gelat from where we will descend to the refuge.
We can also ascend to Puig de Gerber (2744 mt).
Hours: 5-6 hours from the parking.
Total difference in altitude: + 800m, -400m
We will have different possibilities depending on the group’s wishes. First we will ascend the Tuc Gran of Sendrosa (2703 mt) and from there we can descend directly through the Tredos Valley to the parking lot where the taxi will pick us up (4-5 hours).
Another option will be to descend to the pass and continue along the peaks of Pishader, Petit Sendrosa, Cap dera Aubeta and descend through the Ruda valley (harder and depending on conditions, +1000, -1500m., 8 hours)
