Join me on this amazing half-day via cordata experience in the heart of the Calanques de Marseille, in the Calanques National Park. Come discover the magic landscape and natural beauty of this place by the Mediterranean Sea, in southern France.
The via cordata is an exciting activity based on the same concept as via ferratas. This intermediate level activity, between classic hiking and climbing, consists of easy climbing passages, using rope techniques such as rappelling and zip lining above the sea.
The Parcours Aventure (Adventure Itinerary) takes you through a truly exceptional natural location, along limestone cliffs overlooking the calanques, enjoying an exciting adrenaline rush!
The activity is suitable for beginners with no particular knowledge of climbing, although the length and difficulty of the route varies according to your physical level and wishes. It requires the use of harness and ropes for the crossing of different passages over the sea, but you don’t need any special climbing shoes to do it, just sneakers of hiking shoes.
I am an experienced guide, and my goal is to provide you a safe and enjoyable experience! This is a great opportunity to climb in a stunning location without being an experienced climber.
So what are you waiting for? Come discover the calanques from above and enjoy breathtaking views of the Mediterranean! Just send me a request, book your trip and come join me for an exciting day near Marseille.

Rock Climbing Instructor
My name is Guillaume. I am a certified Rock Climbing Instructor in the Calanques, offering guided tours from Marseille to Cassis and everywhere in Provence.
I have been passionate about climbing since I was I child. I was initiated very early into climbing thanks to the mountain club of my hometown, Villemur sur Tarn, a small village in the south west of France. I had my first classes on the rock of Saint Antonin Noble Val, in the gorges of Aveyron.
During a trip with friends, I discovered Marseille and especially its national park. The beauty of the landscapes, the sun, the sea, and the endless number of climbing routes totally seduced me! After a year already planned in Quebec, I decided to validate my university degree in computer science. I applied to the last year of Computer Master at the Faculty of Luminy and moved to Marseille.
My passion for climbing became my profession a few years later, following a professional reconversion. More than 10 years later, I still live close to this beautiful area that is the Calanques and climbing in all its forms remains forever a passion.

Guide was relatively helpful when planning, but we needed to reschedule due to rain, he stopped responding completely to email or text. Day of the climb, I kept messaging and trying to call him, but he blocked me? Very confusing. I'm sure he's probably a good climbing guide (we never ended up climbing with him), but his responsiveness was pretty unprofessional. We ended up finding some hikes to do in calanques and climbing at the local gym 🤷♂️ Guillaume’s answer - “Hello, thank you for your message. I’m sorry that we couldn’t make this outing because of the rain and then your schedule. Know that I didn’t block you but when we are active in the Calanques we don’t necessarily have a network.”

Guillaume was great with my 13 year old. He challenged her with more advanced climbs which she loved. He also helped me improve my belay skills! Thank you.

We had a wonderful half-day climbing with Guillaume! He was extremely knowledgeable, quickly setting lines so we could keep climbing, offering helpful advice without being overbearing, and identifying runs that would challenge each of us (despite different skill levels). On top of that, he was extremely helpful in both picking us up and dropping us off at the train station. All-around great experience.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
