Description

If you’ve always wanted to try this activity, join me on this half-day via ferrata trip and let me show you how it’s done!

The via ferrata routes of the Val d'Aran have very well equipped vertical and horizontal itineraries. If you are a beginner, you can have your first experience here. Those routes provide steps, handrails, cables, ladders and zip lines. They allow anyone who is not accustomed to this activity, to have a safe first approach to the vertical world.

During this experience you will have the opportunity to choose among two via ferrata options: the Castillo de Les or the Pui d'Unha. Both are really exciting and involve they own techniques. Of course that I will help you make up your mind, depending on your level.

Apart from this via ferrata adventure I offer different mountains programs in the Pyrenees. If you are visiting the area during the winter, check out my 6-day ski tour also in Val d'Aran.

So join me on this fun half day of via ferrata. I am looking forward to sharing some climbing time with you! Contact me with any questions you may have and I’ll be happy to help.

Mountain Guide

I love what I do and love to transmit my passion while guiding.

After touring the world fulfilling my dreams, I have put together all the knowledge gained and a strong background as a mountain guide to become one of the most versatile, dedicated and professional guides in the Pyrenees.

My resume has technical training in mountain medicine, snow studies, search and rescue complete training, meteorology and botany.

I spend the winters enjoying the unique snow conditions in the Aran Valley, as a ski touring and freeride Guide, and summers climbing the countless areas of excellent rock, either granite, limestone or conglomerate in the Pyrenees. I also spend a lot of time in Iceland during the summer guiding my friends and clients across these incredible landscapes.

While traveling the world, I make every effort to show the beauty of the landscapes, the quality of the rock and the best snow in the Pyrenees to everyone who wants to check them out.

Please get in touch with me if you want to discover the Pyrenees!

This was a great trip. The guide, Guim Llort (who works for Roger), was excellent. Highly skilled, competent, and a people person. As far as the technical climbing goes, everything went smoothly. The area is quite beautiful. The Refugios were good, but be ready for crowded dorm style sleeping. Many of the travelers, not associated at all with the Explore-Share trip, who were staying at the Refugios, seemed unfamiliar with hut etiquette such as keeping quiet when people are trying to sleep, and not understanding how to use the "red-light" function on their headlamps. Also, the food is pretty basic. I have some dietary restrictions; though these were accommodated, my choices were limited.

The whole process has been excellent, the communication from our guide Roger was brilliant, very clear throughout. We undertook the climb as a group of 4, Roger's knowledge of the mountain and the area is superb, excellent mountain guide, trip of a lifetime and would fully recommend both the trip and Roger as a guide.

There is not only 2 days 1 night, the consideration from the professional guides started since I booked the activity. Thanks to both Roger and Ruth, that we had wonderful and unforgettable snow hiking experience.

The helicopter was a surprise and it was awesome, it was a great first time experience in the backcountry. Our guide, Roger, was really helpful and patient with us and we found really good snow.  The hiking up was especially tiring when it was really hot but the skiing was epic.
