Description
Come with us on a winter mountaineering adventure to remember in the Făgăraș Mountains. We’ll explore beautiful scenery, put our winter climbing skills to the test over two days and have a great time.
The Făgăraș is a section of mountains that makes up part of the much larger Carpathian Mountain Range. Here you’ll be able to find tall mountains, including the tallest in Romania, Moldovan Peak (2,544 meters).
We love heading to the mountains in Romania in the winter. It’s snowy, icy and cold, but that all adds to the fun. You will need to have previous experience climbing though, this is not a trip for beginners.
Across the two days, we’ll be climbing ice, trekking through snow and more. All our guides are certified and have experience in these mountains so you’ll be in safe hands.

- Clothing suitable for walking on the mountain in winter (synthetic or woolen clothes, fleece, waterproof jacket and pants (trousers), fleece jacket, two hats, two pairs of gloves)
- Ski goggles
- Sunglasses
- Suncream
- Lantern
- Rescue avalanche rescue equipment (DVA, probe, shovel)
- First aid kit
- Thermos / tea / water can.
