Beschreibung

Kalymnos liegt zwischen den Dodekanes-Inseln, vor der Westküste der Türkei, in der Ägäis und ist die Heimat einiger der besten Klettergebiete der griechischen Inseln!

Im Laufe unserer gemeinsamen Woche werden wir so viel wie möglich von dieser bergigen Insel erkunden und zahlreiche unglaubliche Aufstiege an hervorragenden Kalksteinwänden machen. Wir werden 5 Tage in der Woche klettern.

Es gibt eine Vielzahl von Optionen für verschiedene Klettereien auf der ganzen Insel, die von Anfängeraufstiegen bis zu viel anspruchsvolleren Aufstiegen reichen. Sportklettern ist hier besonders beliebt, da die Insel eine Vielzahl ausgezeichneter Routen bietet.

Jeden Tag werden wir zu einem anderen Punkt auf der Insel aufbrechen und eine steile Wand oder eine einzigartige Felsformation erklimmen. Unabhängig davon, wohin wir gehen, können wir von oben unglaubliche Meeresblicke genießen.

Wenn wir nicht auf den Felsen sind, wird es auch viel Zeit geben, die Strände zu erkunden und im türkisblauen Wasser zu schwimmen. Die Insel ist auch bekannt für ihren ausgezeichneten Wein und Meeresfrüchte, die wir am Ende jedes Tages probieren werden.

Hi! I'm Renato, IFMGA guide from the Dolomites, and I work together with my colleagues Robert, Patrick & Walter (German speaking), Paolo, Matteo, Davide, Giorgia and Luca.

If I'm not available to guide you, one of them will take care of you.

I was born in 1961, I live in Campitello di Fassa, in the Dolomites, together with my family. I have two sons, one is a mountain guide, the other is a ski instructor. I am a certified mountain guide since 1982, an instructor of guides, alpine ski instructor and a Federal coach for ISEF.

Being in the mountains has always been my passion, guiding people, teaching them climbing, mountaineering... during the various seasons of the year. I very much enjoy drawing nice curves in fresh powder snow and discover the charm of the frozen waterfalls.

My curriculum and professional mountaineering is made of many ascents and some openings of routes in the Dolomites and the Alps. I climbed in Yosemite Valley (California), Ben Nevis (Scotland) and Norway, Greece, Spain and Sardinia. I did also several high altitude climbs like Mt Denali (Alaska), Ama Dablam (6828m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Manaslu (8163m), Shivling in India (6545m), Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador (5897m and 6310m), Patagonia (Argentina).

Davide was great! Very competent and have the perfect amount of instruction, not too much and not too little, which I loved. I like some degree of independence and Davide sensed that quickly and was able to provide instructions at the right places and gave me enough space to make my own while 100% ensuring my safety. He was super patient, allowing me tome to retrieve my phone from Rifugio Auronzo when I discovered it was missing, when we were nearly approaching Rif Locatelli. This tool an additional 1.5 to 2 hours of his time. I am very grateful for his patience and very grateful that my phone was handed in, at Rif Auronzo. Davide was super competent, gave the perfect amount of instructions and supervision to ensure I completed the via ferrata safely, as it was my first via ferrata. Yet, he gave me enough space to figure out my own steps in the steep sections going up and down, and I really appreciated that.

He was professional, knowledgeable and whether he knows it or not saved my butt a couple of times on the tower! I highly recommend this trip if you're doing any climbing in the Dolomites.
