Hi! I'm Renato, IFMGA guide from the Dolomites, and I work together with my colleagues Robert, Patrick & Walter (German speaking), Paolo, Matteo, Davide, Giorgia and Luca.

If I'm not available to guide you, one of them will take care of you.

I was born in 1961, I live in Campitello di Fassa, in the Dolomites, together with my family. I have two sons, one is a mountain guide, the other is a ski instructor. I am a certified mountain guide since 1982, an instructor of guides, alpine ski instructor and a Federal coach for ISEF.

Being in the mountains has always been my passion, guiding people, teaching them climbing, mountaineering... during the various seasons of the year. I very much enjoy drawing nice curves in fresh powder snow and discover the charm of the frozen waterfalls.

My curriculum and professional mountaineering is made of many ascents and some openings of routes in the Dolomites and the Alps. I climbed in Yosemite Valley (California), Ben Nevis (Scotland) and Norway, Greece, Spain and Sardinia. I did also several high altitude climbs like Mt Denali (Alaska), Ama Dablam (6828m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Manaslu (8163m), Shivling in India (6545m), Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador (5897m and 6310m), Patagonia (Argentina).

We had a fantastic three days with our guide, Robert, who took our family of four, with two teenage boys, up Piccolo Cir one day and Sassolungo Furcela the next. The whole experience was excellent, with clear and prompt communication, and the via ferrata choices were perfectly chosen for our experience and ability. Robert was really friendly and helpful throughout and also sorted out a hiccup with our booking, finding us a hut to stay in overnight in a stunning location which added to the adventure. Robert also took our boys multi-pitch climbing on a third day and they came away buzzing. And he took great photos so we could keep our hands firmly on the cables! Highly recommend!5
Amazing experience! This was my very first via ferrata, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. A huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Fabio Trivieri (@il_trivel). Fabio is an incredibly experienced alpine guide. From the very beginning, he was patient in explaining how to use all the equipment and kept sharing helpful tips throughout the entire route. I was quite nervous at first, but his calm attitude and confidence made me feel completely safe. Before long, I was enjoying every single moment of the climb. Fabio suggested the Tomaselli Via Ferrata on Sass de Stria, and it was the perfect choice. The day included a beautiful approach hike through the mountains, fascinating First World War tunnels, the via ferrata itself, and a final hike to the summit. The scenery was breathtaking, the historical context made the experience even more special, and we were lucky enough to have the mountain almost entirely to ourselves. If you’re looking for a guide who is highly skilled, safety-focused, patient, and genuinely passionate about the mountains, I couldn’t recommend Fabio more highly.5

Davide was super competent, gave the perfect amount of instructions and supervision to ensure I completed the via ferrata safely, as it was my first via ferrata. Yet, he gave me enough space to figure out my own steps in the steep sections going up and down, and I really appreciated that.Davide was great! Very competent and have the perfect amount of instruction, not too much and not too little, which I loved. I like some degree of independence and Davide sensed that quickly and was able to provide instructions at the right places and gave me enough space to make my own while 100% ensuring my safety. He was super patient, allowing me tome to retrieve my phone from Rifugio Auronzo when I discovered it was missing, when we were nearly approaching Rif Locatelli. This tool an additional 1.5 to 2 hours of his time. I am very grateful for his patience and very grateful that my phone was handed in, at Rif Auronzo.
