Consisting of three towers, the Vajolet towers are so well known they have been used in major films. In fact, the thrilling opening scene of the film Cliffhanger was filmed at the Vajolet towers.
As unique as they are exciting, the towers you will get to climb during this day trip have some truly mesmerizing views. One such view is achieved at the classic Piaz Arete/Delgokante, where you are exposed to a 500 meter drop to the valley below. It is a view that has to be seen to be believed.
The most popular tower to climb is the Delago tower. However, the other towers offer some splendid climbing as well. And because of the convenient abseil descents, which leave you at the foot of the next tower, it is entirely possible to climb all three towers in a single day!
Participants on this trip should be in good physical condition. You should also have appropriate experience when attempting to climb the more difficult parts.
Have you ever wanted to rock climb in a spot that is so stunning it has been used in film? Then send a request and join me on this full day adventure on the Vajolet towers. I know you’ll have an amazing time.
I can also take you climbing in the Sassolungo group on this trip.
To be determined prior to start of trip.
There are comfortable accommodations options near the Vajolet Towers that I would be happy to recommend to you.
I was born and raised in Campitello, in Val di Fassa. I am a ski instructor and mountain guide.
My parents have always practiced mountaineering, both for leisure and business, and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree! Skiing and climbing were my favourite activities growing up.
As the years went by, I became more and more skilled and experienced under the watch of my father, both in techniques and safety measures. I learned the craft of mountain guide and ski instructor from him, since when his clients or students agreed, I would join them in the mountain.
But the true passion started when I moved to Tione for my studies.
I became ski instructor at 19 and mountain guide at 21.
