Únete a mí para pasar un día descubriendo el descenso freeride más popular de las Dolomitas. ¡Vamos a Val Mesdi y pasemos un maravilloso día de esquí freeride!

Val Mesdi es un valle en el Grupo Sella, parte de las hermosas Dolomitas, en Italia. Ofrece vistas panorámicas únicas y impresionantes. Transitando de sur a norte, el itinerario es muy emocionante, con diferentes secciones que ofrecen cambios en el ritmo.

Para acceder a Val Mesdi, seguiremos el itinerario de la Sella Ronda, y luego pasaremos por el Grupo Sella. Desde la estación del teleférico de Sass Pordoi, iremos al paso Pordoi (2950m) y cruzaremos a la izquierda. Luego, pondremos las pieles de foca en nuestros esquís para alcanzar el Refugio Boè (2871m), llegando a la entrada del valle para un increíble descenso de aproximadamente 6 kilómetros entre altas paredes rocosas. Finalmente, llegaremos a Colfosco (Alta Badia). Para terminar el programa, seguiremos el itinerario de la Sella Ronda para volver a nuestro punto de partida.

Las vistas desde el Refugio Boè sobre Val Mesdi son particularmente impresionantes, y nos tomaremos un tiempo para disfrutarlas.

Como este es un descenso muy popular, la pista de este tour está muy bien preparada. Excepto, por supuesto, el día después de una gran nevada. Pero en general, es posible cruzar el Refugio Boè incluso con equipo de esquí regular, simplemente caminando con los esquís en nuestros hombros o mochilas.

La dificultad de este programa se clasifica como moderada, pero puede ser bastante desafiante dependiendo de las condiciones. Si tienes alguna duda sobre tu nivel y capacidad, no dudes en preguntarme y estaré feliz de aconsejarte.

Hi! I'm Renato, IFMGA guide from the Dolomites, and I work together with my colleagues Robert, Patrick & Walter (German speaking), Paolo, Matteo, Davide, Giorgia and Luca.

If I'm not available to guide you, one of them will take care of you.

I was born in 1961, I live in Campitello di Fassa, in the Dolomites, together with my family. I have two sons, one is a mountain guide, the other is a ski instructor. I am a certified mountain guide since 1982, an instructor of guides, alpine ski instructor and a Federal coach for ISEF.

Being in the mountains has always been my passion, guiding people, teaching them climbing, mountaineering... during the various seasons of the year. I very much enjoy drawing nice curves in fresh powder snow and discover the charm of the frozen waterfalls.

My curriculum and professional mountaineering is made of many ascents and some openings of routes in the Dolomites and the Alps. I climbed in Yosemite Valley (California), Ben Nevis (Scotland) and Norway, Greece, Spain and Sardinia. I did also several high altitude climbs like Mt Denali (Alaska), Ama Dablam (6828m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Manaslu (8163m), Shivling in India (6545m), Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador (5897m and 6310m), Patagonia (Argentina).

Amazing experience! This was my very first via ferrata, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. A huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Fabio Trivieri (@il_trivel). Fabio is an incredibly experienced alpine guide. From the very beginning, he was patient in explaining how to use all the equipment and kept sharing helpful tips throughout the entire route. I was quite nervous at first, but his calm attitude and confidence made me feel completely safe. Before long, I was enjoying every single moment of the climb. Fabio suggested the Tomaselli Via Ferrata on Sass de Stria, and it was the perfect choice. The day included a beautiful approach hike through the mountains, fascinating First World War tunnels, the via ferrata itself, and a final hike to the summit. The scenery was breathtaking, the historical context made the experience even more special, and we were lucky enough to have the mountain almost entirely to ourselves. If you’re looking for a guide who is highly skilled, safety-focused, patient, and genuinely passionate about the mountains, I couldn’t recommend Fabio more highly.
