During the summer, the park welcomes many hikers eager to explore all kinds of trails, from very simple ones to routes that require good physical condition and are only possible with a local guide. Some of the most daring challenges in Aigüestortes National Park are the GR-11 Grand Transpyrenean Route, which crosses the park from side to side, as well as the Espot-Boí and the Arties-Espot traverses.

You have to leave from Boí, from where you must take the L-500 road towards Caldes de Boí, and about 2.5 km away, you will find the parking lot of the first of the entrances. Following the same road, and passing Caldes de Boí, you will reach the second gate that also has parking.
It is located in a high mountain area, between 1200 and 3029 meters high. The climate is characterized by long winters with lots of snow and short summers with mild temperatures during the day and cold at night.
Spanish and Catalan are the two official languages.
