Join me for a **2-day ice climbing course** with the magical backdrop of the Northern Lights in Lyngen! Learn the skills you need to enjoy this exciting activity or put your abilities in use.

Lyngen is my home base. It is a municipality in **the area of Troms, in Northern Norway.** The courses take place near the village of Lyngseidet.

**I offer two different programmes** in this beautiful region in Norway. You can either join me on a 2-day basic course, where you **learn the basics of ice climbing on top-rope, gear and basic techniques**. Or, if you have previous ice climbing experience, you can join me on a 2-day course aimed to **master multi-pitch climbing as a second**. Also, if you feel comfortable enough, you could lead climbing on easy ice (grade 3).

Please note **the courses can be tailored to your wishes, level and time available**. In order to join the basic course you need a basic fitness level and it would also be good if you had some outdoor experience. For the multi-pitch climbing course you also need to be in good shape and, most important, you need to have previous experience.

Lyngen is the perfect area to learn ice climbing. We find many fantastic icefalls in this region. Besides, the Northern Lights are truly spectacular.

**Ice climbing under the Northern Lights in Northern Norway** is truly a magical experience. Join me on this **ice climbing tour for 1 or more days** in **Lyngen** and enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime-adventure!

Why would you choose climbing in November or December, when it is all dark? Because it is the most special time of the year to ice climb! Everything is quiet and still and it is the perfect time to watch the fascinanting polar lights. They are like a ballet of light dancing across the night sky!

There are **plenty of great icefalls in Lyngen**, of all sizes and **suitable for both beginners and experienced climbers**. If you want to join this tour you need at least a basic fitness level.

Discover the **wild beauty that lives in the Arctic** and spend a week on a multi-sport expedition in the Lyngen Alps! Winter is not only about skiing, so we invite you to **enjoy a wide variety of polar activities together with your family or friends**.

Under the guidance of seasoned professionals with an in-depth local knowledge, you will be taking part in **ski touring, snowshoeing, ice climbing, sea fishing and dogsledding activities** for full immersion in the unique Norwegian landscape!

During this week, you will be staying at our **comfy, warm and fully equipped apartments** at the Lyngen Outdoor Center, with breathtaking views. So after a long and rewarding day, you can **relax at the sauna**, and maybe even **admire the polar lights**!

The **Lyngen Alps** are located in Northern Norway, **set across Scandinavian islands in the Norwegian Sea**. Based out of comfortable lodging on the **island of Uloya**, we propose a standard itinerary of 4 days with an IFMGA guide to do ski touring, ice climbing, snowshoeing, and to practice survival and safety techniques. And the 2 remaining days will be devoted to dogsledding (1/2 day), sea fishing and snow hole building.

**The itinerary can be totally adapted depending on the group’s experience and objectives**. So it can fit you if you are together with your family aiming to have fun and relax, if you want to try for the first time many different winter activities, or if you are experienced and want to challenge yourself in an amazing environment.
