**Come with me to this fascinating climbing trip in the discovery of the High Tatras mountains!** We will spend time together while enjoying the insides of this wonderful natural European landscape.

These mountains are part of the range of the Tatra Mountains chain. Their location is **in the border between Slovakia and Poland**, in Europe.

We will start seeing the outputs by going to Tery Cottage at 2015 meters. This descends into the ice ridge.

After that, you will get the chance of climbing easy passages on our way to the summit. This is a classic short trail.

Once we reach the peak you will receive the best reward! The great Polish **Tatras Javorová valley** with **Maple massif towers Gerlach**, **Lomnicky peak of Belianske Tatras** will be there for you to admire.

These peaks are all located in the East and Northern Tatras from Poland.

Finally, we will start our way back by descending along the route. This part of the High Tatras could be slightly more difficult for climbing.

**Each guided group will have 3 people maximum.** In this way, I can make sure your excursion and ascent to be personalised as well as extremely safe.

Don’t let your little climbing experience be a deterrent! Of course you must have some experience in mountaineering, but in general the tracks are going to be from easy to medium demanding. (I-II UIAA).

We can either meet at the Starý Smokovec village (long trip, around 20 km), Zamkovského hut or Téryho hut. The last two are probably better for a shorter transfer.

**The High Tatras are a mountain range in northern Slovakia and southern Poland**. When the temperatures fall below 0°C , the waterfalls of the area turn into ice, offering an **amazing opportunity for climbing experiences!**

On this tour, **we can start with the basics of ice progression and avalanche risk management**. After dealing with some 20-meter frozen walls, we will be ready for a more challenging spot!

Keep in mind that **you can join me for one or several days**. Furthermore, you don’t need previous ice climbing experience. No matter if you are a beginner or an expert, **I’ll find the perfect route for you, and I’ll be there to help and guide you every step of the way!**

1+ day Ice climbing in the High Tatras, Slovakia

**Slovakia** offers beautiful natural settings to practice ice climbing. In particular, we will climb in the **High Tatras National Park** and in the **Slovak Paradise**.

**Ice climbing** is a unique activity. Each season a new playground is formed, and you never know how it's going to turn out! Indeed, this ephemeral practice is great for rock climbers that want to try something new.

We can leave for 2 or 3 days. Depending on the amount of participants and their level, I will design an itinerary. In general, I can take up to 4 people with me. But for more technically challenging climbs I guide only up to 2 people. This pleasant winter sport is open to everyone who likes nature and climbing.

And if you have more ice climbing experience, I also offer multi-pitch ice climbing. This trip also takes 2-3 days.

###### Join me on this fun ice climbing course in the Carpathian mountains.

The **High Tatras lie on the border between Poland and Slovakia**. Many of its peaks are over 2000 meters. The highest summit is  Gerlachovský štít, at 2655 m.  It is an **ideal place for winter activities!**

The flora and fauna in the Tatras mountains are **protected by the Tatras National Park**. The area also combines a wide variety of landscapes: peaks, deep glacier valleys, mountain lakes. You won’t believe your eyes!

During this 3-day program, you’ll learn basic ice climbing skills. Some prior rock climbing experience is definitely helpful. This course is available for first-time ice climbers as well as intermediate climbers.

**– DAY 1:** Meeting at the Zamkovského Mountain Inn. Presentation and informative talk. Night at the lodge.

**– DAY 2:** Firstly, we will start by practicing ice climbing basics such as stance, security and abseiling. Afterwards, and depending on weather conditions, we’ll move our practice to the ice!

**– DAY 3:** Finally, we’ll go for one last ice climb. You’ll get to enjoy everything the incredible Tatras offers.
