The highest peak in the Tatras mountain range, the official name of Gerlach Peak is Gerlachovský štít (2654m). Technically, it is graded II or III, which makes it a great ascent for beginner mountaineers, specially considering that the normal route is usual snow-free by the beginning of the summer.
