There are many reasons for choosing Mountain Climbing in Tajikistan

Tajik Pamir contains Peak Kommunizma, one of the five 'Snow Leopard' mountains, designated to the five highest peaks in the former Soviet Union, and is indeed the highest mountain in Tajikistan. It's impressive height (7495m), difficulty to reach and hostile terrain and conditions make it a physical and mental challenge, proving alluring to experience mountain climbers. The fact that it is only possible to climb for 2 months of the year adds to its mystery.

How to get there

Fly to Dushanbe, the capital city of Tajikistan, and then fly via helicopter to the base camps of the respective mountains

Best time to visit

July-August, when the weather is best and also because these are the only 2 months that tourists are allowed to climb here

Very cold in Winter, with temperatures averaging below freezing. Mild Summers, with temperatures averaging between 20-25 degrees celsius
