**Do you want to start alpine climbing? This 2-day course in the Oberreintal is just for you! In fact, this small and remote valley near Garmisch, in Germany, is one of the best rock climbing spots in the country.** 

I like it very much because it has a lot of history. Climbers began to come here in 1920 and everything still looks like in the past.

It has some classic climbing routes like ‘**Gonda**‘ and **‘Schober**‘, which are VI grade tours. However, only a few people come to this area.

The starting point of this climbing course will be the **Franz-Fischer-Hütte,** a small mountain hut at 1532 m, that has been visited by several well-known climbers in the past.

We’ll be climbing among level III to IV routes (or even higher), on solid and rough limestone rocks.

Besides, you’ll receive a complete training, including security techniques, stand construction, how to plan a climbing tour, technical equipment knowledge, abseiling and how to improvise a rescue in the mountain (rope extension, techniques).

The first day of the itinerary will be all for training. On the second day we’ll go on a climbing tour to Milka, the lower mountain ghost tower (IV) or maybe to Oberreintallturm-Westwand Radlkante (V-).

I recommend this place for a short climbing trip during a weekend. You also have to consider there’s a 2 to 3 hours hike to the hut.

On this **full day rock climbing adventure**, I would like to guide you to some great spots near **Traunstein**. And because the climbing area I will take you is very close to the **Austrian border**, there is also the option to climb in **Gmunden** as well. Along with your desires and climbing level, I will also factor in weather conditions before deciding on the best option for you.

One thing you can be certain of, no matter where we decide to climb, is you will get to enjoy some fantastic views of the vast, **Bavarian landscape**. Also, like any good **rock climbing** trip, you will get to enjoy the thrill of scaling large rock formations, while getting a great work out.

As a result of the plentiful variety of spots, this trip is open to people of all rock climbing levels. But regardless of climbing level, participants on this trip should be in **good physical condition**.

Another great aspect of this trip is the location. Not only is the town of **Traunstein** lovely to visit and spend time in, but there are several great places to visit throughout **Bavaria**. Moreover, the historical **Austrian city of Saltzburg** is also very close, as well as the incredible **Alps**. Thus making this rock climbing day trip a possible addition to a much larger, grander vacation.

Rising to a **height of 2,628m**, the peak of **Alpspitze** is known for the beauty of its pyramidal form. Since its first successful summit in 1825, the area around the mountain has been a **great destination for outdoor adventurers** looking to experience the scenic landscapes and stunning panoramic views of this picturesque area in the **heart of Bavaria.**

The area around Alpspitze is also the perfect setting to **practice important alpine climbing skills** that will come in handy for your future adventures in the Alps and beyond. **Have you always wanted to try climbing, but need a knowledgeable climber and guide to show you the ropes?  This is your chance: during my 3 day introductory course you will have the opportunity to begin your climbing education and try some routes on outdoor rocks!**

Franconia is an incredible destination for climbers of all levels, but it is especially good for beginners, as the type of rock is very structured.  Plus, it is a lovely area to visit, with its charming hills and forests, villages and beergardens.  It is a region that lures you back for more visits.  We will be based in the town of Neutras for this program.

This program is designed for beginners and no previous climbing experience is required, although this would also be a suitable program for those who have done some climbing at indoor rock-climbing gyms and would like to venture outdoors.  Topics covered during this course include: roping and safety equipment, toprope climbing, lowering/rappelling, basic climbing techniques, and material science.  I will teach you the basics so that you will have a solid foundation for all your future climbing endeavors.
