The Bernese Oberland is a dream destination for rock climbers. It is located in **the higher part of Bern**, in the southern end of the canton. I propose to take you to some of the following routes, among many others:

\-Slumber 5c in the **Gelmerhörner,**  a beautiful alpine valley full of solid granite, but away from crowds, offering something for pretty much everyone, from adventurous long routes to short easy bolted routes on the slabs and crags around the Gelmer hut.

**\-Engelhörner**. Boasting excellent quality of limestone, this group of  peaks are the Dolomites of the Bernese Oberland, offering a wide diversity of routes of all levels of difficulty, most of them perpendicular.

**\-Eldorado** Grimsel: **Motörhead** 6a. Eldorado is perhaps the most famous of all climbing locations at Grimsel. Motörhead was actually the very first route of Eldorado circuit, and has become a true climbing line, following a cracks system. This is a must for climbers that climb at a 6a level top rope.

\-Fun partout 6a in **Wendenstöcke,** the top alpine sport climbing destination in Switzerland. Its incredibly exposed big walls are a must for adventurous climbers.

**If you love rock climbing, treat yourself to this 1-day program in the area of Grimsel, Switzerland. Join me on an amazing experience in the beautiful Berenese Alps – a site that is a dream for all climbers.**

During this program, we will go on a climbing day close to the **Grimselpass** (2,165 m). This area is exceptional. It has a vast volume of exposed stone, with a big part of smooth granite. Climbing perfection in the **Bernese Oberland**!

Our main goal for this program will be the **Motörhead**, in the famous **Eldorado**. This was actually the very first route of Eldorado circuit, and has become a true climbing line, following a cracks system. This is a must for climbers that climb at a 6a level top rope.

Let me guide you for a **3-Day Rock Climbing Tour** in the **Bernese Oberland** region of the **Alps**.

There is nothing like the **Swiss Alps**. And there is really nothing like climbing them either. There are just too many amazing peaks to name in the entire range and the **Bernese Oberland** area is no different. This region of the Alps offers some of the most spectacular views you will ever see. It will be as if you are staring at paintings, but they are real. However, this tour is not just about staring and admiring. It is also about practising and honing your climbing skills. And as a result, you will be better prepared to safely climb the **Alps'** elite peaks that will provide you with even better views.

The first day of this tour will involve practising your climbing skills at one of the great local climbing areas, **Wilderswil** or **Neuhaus**. On the second and third days, we will climb some amazing **Multi-Pitch Routes** at **Hintisberg**, **Mittagfluh**, **Ueschenen**, and several others. Hence making this trip an all-encompassing adventure because you will learn by doing. And you will also get the chance to admire the gorgeous scenery of the **Swiss Alps**.

Unlike the more popular areas of the **Alps** that attract lots of climbers, the **Bernese Oberland** area is much quieter. Thus making this trip a more peaceful, intimate, and perhaps even reflective experience.

Oberland 3-Day Guided Rock Climbing

**Have you ever dreamed of sleeping on the edge of a mountain? If so, you can do it on a Portaledge, in Frutigen in the Swiss Alps.**

Words can never do justice to how truly incredible this experience is. The views you will see and the feeling you will have while seeing them will stay with you forever.

Firstly, we will meet at **Frutigen** at 12:30 in the afternoon. Afterwards, we check all the materials and equipment and make our way on a 30 minute hike to the mountain face. We will then make a safe ascent to the **Portaledge**. From there you will settle inside and behold the kinds of views people only see on postcards. You will be able to see **Lake Thun**. And as the night falls, you will see all of the colors of the sky. Finally, when you look down, you will also get to see all of the lights of **Frutigen**, before falling asleep, that's if you can, of course, as the view will be begging for your attention all night.

After leaving your **Portaledge** the following morning, you will have breakfast, and have the chance to view the mountains, **Eiger, Monch** and **Jungfrau,** before we pack up and make our way back down to the valley.

Join me for a **2-Day Rock Climbing Expedition** through the **Grimsel Pass** that includes spending a night in a **Portaledge**.

The **Grimsel Pass** offers some of the most amazing views of the **Swiss Alps** you will ever see. The summit of the pass reaches an altitude of **2,164 meters**. Thus making it the perfect height to see the enormity of the mountain range it cuts through.

This adventure will involve vertical climbing on a granite rock face. You don't have to be a climbing expert for this trip, but some experience is needed. It is a **5A Top Rope Grade Ascent**. However, once you reach the top, you will settle into a **Portaledge**.

If you are not familiar with what a **Portaledge** is, it is a hanging tent that you can sleep in, while suspended from a ridge or rock face. You will see the lights of the towns below when night falls. And you will see the glistening snow of the peaks above when the sun rises. A **Portaledge** offers so much more than a place to sleep. The **Eiger (3970 m)** is one of the most iconic and well ranked mountains in the Alps. Hundreds of mountaineers around the world come to Grindelwald each year especially in search of its huge north face!

Today I’d like to invite you to a 6-day ascent to the Eiger’s summit via the eastern ridge, also called “Mittellegi”. It is a really extraordinary challenge since we will have to cope with mixed terrain (ice and rock) for much of the climb.

The idea of this program is to get prepared, so that we have greater chances of success. It’s essential that you feel physically and mentally ready for such a big goal. Climbers who want to participate in this program must prove the following skills:

*   Minimum level of rock climbing IV. This means that the person must be able to perform autonomously in a multi-pitch route at high altitude. Also, it may involve multi-hour approaches in serious alpine terrain;
    
*   Know how to secure a first rope;
    
*   Know how to rappell;
    
*   Good handling of crampons and ice ax;
    
*   Excellent physical condition.

Located to the north of Susten Pass, Wendenstöcke is known throughout Europe for its high climbing quality and routes. You’ll get to climb on limestone, which translates into great grip quality.

Excalibur is one of the best known and most accessible routes, made famous by Ueli Steck who completed a free solo ascent in 2004. Be aware that this route has been rated 6b and requires you to be an experienced, confident climber with an excellent fitness level. There are also other routes available on the Wendenstöcke but they require higher levels of climbing technique.
