Description

Do you love spending your time in the mountains? Do you love skiing, mountaineering and trekking through the powder topped forests and peaks? Then it is important to know about proper avalanche rescue techniques in the event you encounter an avalanche. And during this full day, AIARE avalanche course in Vail, Colorado, you will get to learn many of those crucial techniques.

This full day, stand-alone course is a perfect means to teach people about the best practices in rescue technique and equipment, including multi-burial rescue practices. We will also teach you about developing a muscle-memory of rescue techniques that will greatly improve your response time. And because this course takes place in the Rockies of Vail, Colorado, you will get to learn in the same type of environment where avalanches actually occur. We believe this is very important as it will provide you with the necessary familiarity.

There are no prerequisites to take this course. Instead, it is open to anybody who wishes to learn about proper avalanche safety. So, if that sounds like something you would like to do, all you have to do is send us a request. We have no doubt you will learn a great deal during this course.

I really loved it. Intro to rock climbing was an amazing experience. Explore-share team were so helpful in the process. The trip that I chose in the first place was not available and they managed to find alternatives and offer me the best possible solution in that situation. In the end I had a wonderful day and could not be happier!

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

It would have been helpful to know it was suppose to be a Matterhorn prep course. The goals of the group were a little different.
