Description

The Tohoku area of Japan is located in the northeast of the country’s main island of Honshu. The region is known throughout the island for its harsh climate. However, with that harsh climate, comes a lot of snowfall, which, of course, leads to some fantastic snowboarding. And on this full day, group trip where you will get to snowboard with a FWQ professional, you will get to enjoy slopes in one of a few different locations, all of which I know very well.

Along with the Tohoku area’s harsh climate, it is also quite remote. As a result, while popular with tourists, it is not overflowing with people. That means we can enjoy riding the slopes without having to worry about line-ups, and other inconveniences that come with crowded areas.

The goal of this trip is to give you a unique riding experience. Instead of receiving lessons, you will simply get to ride with an experienced snowboarder. Thus giving you a chance to still learn, as if you were riding with a guide, but in a much different way. I will also gladly give you tips and advice whenever I can.

Because of the nature of this trip, participants should be able to ride at a minimum intermediate level.

Tohoku is a great place for snowboarding. As varied as it is beautiful, there will be no issue in finding the ride place for you. To enjoy it for yourself, all you have to do is send a request.

I can also go snowboarding with you for a half-day in Nozawa Onsen on this trip.

Please note that you will need to sign a liability waiver prior to the beginning of the trip. Also, for safety and liability reasons, we will stay within ski resort boundaries at all times.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge.
